Conversation with a stranger in passing

Yesterday while strolling threw the aisles of the grocery there was a man talking to himself ~ I asked “hey you need help? He looked up at me and began~ Yes I am talking to myself. My teenage daughter has confessed that she did something she knows was wrong. He tells me~ I didn’t raise her to be acting like she did & I’m still mad. My answer back ~ she told you what she did right? What you taught her worked, she just faltered, She told you~ That alone is more than awesome. Praise her for coming forth. Past is past ~ step forward. He was in total agreement.Then he went onto say~ he was a child of the sixties ,he’d get popped up side the head if he ever did what she did. ~ I laughed and told him I knew exactly what he was talking about. Today you’d go to jail for popping that kid. Times have changed & changed for the better.
